A01 Shot Sizes


Aerial Shot: A view usually taken from a helicopter. It can also be used as an establishing shot.

High Angle Shot: This shot can be used to make the object appear smaller and less powerful.

Worms Eye View: This shot can make things seem a lot bigger, they are usually used to make things seem more powerful.

Low Angle Shot: A low angle shot can make an object look slightly bigger and a little bit more powerful.
Two Shot: This is generally used to show two people talking to each other.

Establishing Shot: This is used to set the scene so you know where events coming up are going to take place.

POV Shot: This is a POV shot. It is used to show what the object is seeing.

Over the Shoulder: This is used in conversations so you can see who is talking, and their reactions.

Long Shot: This is used to show body language.

Mid Shot: This shows half of the body so you can see some body language.

Medium Close Up: You can see the shoulders of the person in front of the camera and some of their emotion.

Big Close Up: Also used to show emotions

Close Up: Used to show emotions as well.

Extreme Close Up: Used to show emotions, can be used when someone is crying.
